ÌåãàÏëþñ Hydromultipoles® of the MABP® series:
reversible magnetic activators of water
for scale removal and scale build-up prevention

MMT hydromultipoles® or reversible magnetic water activators MABP® are certified devices for magnetic processing of water. They are based on high magnetic energy permanent magnets neodymium-iron-boron. MMT hydromultipoles® are developed for scale formation prevention and for scale removal.

Presence of calcium and magnesium salts diluted in water is a serious problem in industry and municipal economy. These salts tend to deposit on the inner surfaces of pipelines. This leads to essential (up to 60%) heat and energy losses due to the reduction of the open flow area of the pipelines. Heavy scale formation can lead to a complete pipeline plugging and enhance corrosion. The problem of scale prevention can be solved either by chemical or by physical techniques. Chemical demineralization is now widely applied to prevent scale formation. During this process water is treated with chemical reagents that convert the diluted salts in insoluble precipitate. However, high cost, complexity of technological process, and ecological implications make development of novel alternative techniques necessary.

Magnetic processing of water is one of the best known physical techniques for scale prevention. Water is subjected to the influence of magnetic fields with a certain spatial configuration and strength. This is the basic principle of MMT hydromultipole®, which is water flow processing device with a rigidly fixed strength and a special pattern of magnetic field lines. MMT hydromultipoles® help to prevent scale formation and to remove scale deposits on the surfaces of pipelines and heat-exchange elements. Influence of the magnetic field leads to a modification of the physical properties of water. This prevents precipitation of calcium and magnesium carbonates and silicates and their deposition on pipeline surfaces. Moreover, interaction of magnetically treated water with scale deposits leads to a partial solution of the salts, and also to scale disintegration. The scale is converted to a fine slam and washed off. Subsequently it can be easily filtered off by conventional mechanical water filters. Magnetization of water allows multiple utilization of water in the conventional systems without their essential redesigning. MMT hydromultipoles® can be also integrated into the chemical demineraliztion technology. Our tests show that in this case the lifetime of chemical filters increases by a factor of 1.5-2. This also allows to solve several ecological problems.

Basic conditions of MMT hydromultipole® exploitation:
  • water hardness up to 30 mg/liter.

  • permitted water temperature is up to 90°Ñ;

  • working pressure is up to 1.6 MPa.

  • optimal range of flow rates is 0.5-4.0 m/s.


  • delivery time of treated water to the heater below 2 minutes

MMT hydromultipoles® have different typical sizes optimized for the standard pipe gauges. They can be applied in industry, as well as in municipal economy and household. They can be installed in water-mains of hot and cold water supply, in boilers, instantaneous water heaters, laundry and dish-washing machines, cooling systems etc. MMT hydromultipoles® are designed for water flow rate from 0.08 m3/hour up to 1100 m3/hour and corresponding pipe gauges from 8 mm up to 500 mm.



Application of MMT hydromultipoles® is free from ecological implications, because no acids or other chemical reagents are used (in contrast to the chemical demineralization). This also does not require power supply (as in case of electromagnet-based water processing devices). Thus water processing with MMT hydromultipoles® is safe and pollution-free.

Non-magnetic parts of MMT hydromultipoles® for use in household devices are produced from stainless steel 12X18H10T that complies with food regulations. Thus they are safe for the consumers. All the MMT hydromultipoles® are designed for water pressure of 1.6 MPa and water temperatures up to 90°C.
